Meet Jake Jansen

A bio?  Shit.  I don’t even know what I’m doing here.  All my friends are looking for jobs fresh out of college and I’m typing a bio in a basement.  I feel like I fell off the path somewhere along the way but I don’t think I’d go back if I could.   Let’s see, don’t like school, drink too much, can’t be taken seriously, ever, all women that have come into my life have made me want to kill them, lol.  I’m intelligent, computer literate (white male, QuickBooks savvy, 24, currently seeking employment ) expensive, materialistic hip hop mastermind.  Ah.  Perfect.  Seriously though what is this?

I started rapping in middle school dealing with some past depression of having no father and my shoes sucked.  The worst part was growing up in Loudoun County, Virginia with all the rich kids and I lived with my mom and little brother in a house that used to be a barn.  No joke.  Music was the only thing that kept me sane.  I started listening to Dre and Snoop, Wu-tang, all day.  I was in the 5th grade arguing with someone whether or not Warren G was related to Dre. (I won that fight).  I also listened to my mother’s music which was The Temptations, Bob Marley, Tracey Chapman, etc.  Love that shit.  Started writing in like 8th grade.  I used to re-write songs, same melody and stuff just making “remixes” until that formed into making my own songs.  I did this all through high school handing out CD’s and free styling whenever. Eventually I started recording seriously and somehow linked up with DZK in 05?  We started putting in a lot of work together and formulated the unstoppable rap group ‘The Red Giants’.  Since then we’ve been hustling hard and I brought my forces and he brought the dynasty that IS “The War Lab”.  The rest will be history.  Don’t go anywhere.
